Grace Elizabeth "Betty" Swindell Metropol, age 92, beloved wife of the late G.P. Metropol, Jr. of Darlington died Saturday, May 27, 2017. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Mrs. Metropol is survived by her children: George P. Metropol, III (Shelly), Dorothy Metropol, Liz Metropol Ham (Lyn) and Bill Metropol (Leslie). Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who loved her.
