Betty Jean Locklair

Betty Jean Brown Locklair, age 82, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at her residence. A funeral will be held on Sunday, March 11, at 3:00PM in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. Born in Florence County on July 18, 1935, Betty was the daughter of the late Jack Franklin Brown and the late Alice Juanita Jordan Brown O'Neal. She was a loving housewife who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Jason) Carraway of Darlington and two grandchildren, Josh and Jake Carraway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie English Locklair, her son, Stevie Locklair, sister, Jacqueline Mills and a niece, Joan Forthman.
