Betty Jean Galloway Bell

Betty Jean Galloway Bell, age 82, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 in Sumter, SC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, December 13th in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Born September 12, 1936, Betty is the daughter of the late Judge Galloway and Rita Hudson Galloway. She worked at American Manufacturing for 25 years, and was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son, Murry (Donna) Bell of Sumter; daughter, Shirley Greene of Timmonsville; grandchildren, Beauford Atkinson, Candy (Tony) Carter, McKenzie Bell, Darren (Sharon) Greene, Chad (Carla) Greene and Teresa ( Trenice) Scales; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Russell (Anna) Galloway; sister, Dorothy Lewis. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Sonny Greene; sister, Barbara Galloway; and brother-in-law, Myers Lewis.
