Barbara Jean Suggs

Barbara Jean Howle Suggs, age 81, entered eternal rest Friday, August 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27 at Darlington First Church of God, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Belk Funeral Home. Born September 4, 1936, Barbara is the daughter of the late Robert Howle and Nina Barefoot Howle. She attended Darlington First Church of God. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving are her son, Toby (Debbie) Lee of Darlington; her daughters, Shelia (Wayne) Suggs of Darlington, Abby (Barney) McFalls of Hartsville; step-daughter, Teresa (Sony) Strickland; grandchildren, Toby Lee Jr., Tobin Lee, Amy (Dan) Zeznanski, Dedra (Ryan) Hickox, Casey (Aaron) Weaver, Trey Tyner, Bradley (Dani) Tyner, Ashley (Paul) Jacobs, Morgan Suggs, Lacy (Gary) Gause, John Kirven, Shelee Boykin, Daniel Boykin, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Suggs; a great-grandchild, Logan Gause; her brothers, Hollis Howle, Ellis Howle, Otis Howle, Carey Howle, Robert Howle; her sisters, Louise Anderson, Eunice Tucker and her husband Bobby Tucker.
