Barbara Wright Huneycutt

Barbara Wright Huneycutt, age 78, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15 in Lamar First Baptist Church, with burial following in Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home. Born March 11, 1940, Barbara is the daughter of the late James Wright and Annie Lee Harrell Wright. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Sidney Griffin Family Practice for 48 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lamar. Surviving are her children, Lynn Huneycutt, Kyle (Mayme) Huneycutt, Karl (Angie) Huneycutt, and Brooks (Ashley) Huneycutt, all of Lamar; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Linda (Jim) Hardee of Lamar, Thedi (Brad) Hitchings of Florence, Becky Reynolds of Greenville, Mary Watford of Conway; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Wood of Tocca, GA. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Emmett (Patsy) Lee Lowry.
