Babs Reaves Lewis

Darlington - Babs Reaves Lewis, age 70, was a Christian and went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11th at Freedom Baptist Church, with burial following in High Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born January 20, 1947, Babs is the daughter of the late Earl Gibson Reaves and Barbara Gardner Reaves. She spent a lot of her time at church and studying her bible. Babs taught Sunday school at High Hill Baptist Church and Freedom Baptist Church for many years, and served as treasurer at Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Ray Lewis; her daughters, Marcia Watkins and Beth (Kyle) Gunter of Florence; her son, John Lewis of Darlington; her grandchildren, Molly Watkins, Luke Watkins, Riley Gunter, and Reaves Gunter; her sister, Karen (Tommy) Lewis of Darlington. The family will receive friends at the home, 707 Vintage Dr. in Florence. Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 1415 Lamar Hwy. Darlington, SC 29532.
