Augustino "Gus" M. Battista

Augustino "Gus" M. Battista went home to the Lord on Wednesday January 24th,2024. Gus was born on May 11th, 1940 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Louis and Irene Battista. He served his country in the US Air Force.

Gus is survived by his children: Lisa Lemon of Elgin, Michael (Melissa) Battista of Orlando, FL, Gina Inman of Florence, Kara (Bernerd "B.J.") Wyndham of Darlington, Angela Doyle of Columbia, and Jennie (Donald) Troxell, of New Jersey. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jeanne Clarke Battista who passed away last April.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Temple Free Will Baptist Church 1660 North Governor Williams Hwy, Darlington, SC 29540 or St. Jude Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN  38105.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 3rd from the times of 2:00pm until 3:00pm in Temple Freewill Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3:00pm following the visitation.
