Obituary for Anne Lee Hofner Turner

Anne Lee Hofner Turner, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at the age of 78.

Anne was born on August 31st, 1946, in Anne Arundel, Maryland, to George Francis Hofner and Marian Elizabeth Hardesty Hofner. She graduated from high school and later married James Lewis Turner, with whom she had four children: James Jr., Tracy, Richard, and Matthew.

Anne's life was one filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family. She had a passion for reading, a strong work ethic, and treasured the moments spent with her loved ones. Anne also had a deep affection for her pets, including her cat Sassy and her dogs Athena, Lily Beth, and Chronic, who brought her great joy.

Anne's legacy will live on through her children, Tracy Turner, Richard (Teresa) Turner, and Matthew (Johnnie) Turner, as well as her grandchildren, Matthew Turner Jr., Patricia Turner, Christopher (Haley Radziewicz) Thomas, Justin Turner, and Brendan Turner. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Lila Thomas and Vivienne Thomas. Anne's family would like to extend a special thank you to her loving caregiver, Vickie Coffie, for the compassionate care and support she provided.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Lewis Turner, and her son, James Lewis Turner Jr.

Anne will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
