Ann Elizabeth (Laffoday) Hudson

Ann Elizabeth Laffoday Hudson passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2024. A visitation will be held in the fellowship hall of Lamar United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 20th from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00pm, with interment immediately following in Lamar Cemetery.

Ann was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 7, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Dewey Neander Laffoday and Thelma Hill Laffoday Randolph. She was the choir director at Lamar UMC and played the organ and piano for over 70 years. Mrs. Hudson was truly a woman of faith, she lived through Christ and always did her best to minister to people when the time presented itself.

She leaves behind her loving children Sherilyn Yearty of Murrells Inlet and Todd (Tanya) Hudson of Fort Mill.  Including her grandchildren Sydney Sullivan, Chandler (Adam) Bair, Taylor (Lindsey) Hudson, Angela Smith, Annette (Tracey) Johnson, and numerous great grandchildren.  Preceding her in death her husband Charles, her seven brothers, son Rocky Hudson, her great grandson Townes Hudson, and son-in-law Pat Yearty.
