Alton Lloyd

Alton Lloyd, age 82, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at his residence. A graveside service will be held in Grove Hill Cemetery on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 3:00pm.

Alton was born in Williamsburg County on October 19, 1940, son of the late Robert Lee and Lila Jeffords Lloyd. He was employed by Perfection American and later was a security guard at Clanton's Auto Auction. Alton enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, Carolina Gamecocks, playing bingo, church softball and listening to gospel music. He was a member at Faith Freewill Baptist Church.

Alton is survived by his brother, Thomas C. Lloyd of Darlington, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Alton was preceded in death by his wife, Fostine Rhodes Lloyd, brothers, Bobby and Jimmy Lloyd, and sister, Peggy Anderson.
