Agnes L. Smith

Agnes Elizabeth Lloyd Smith, age 94 passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, August 18th at First Original Free Will Baptist Church with burial following at Darlington Memory Gardens, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born November 16, 1921; Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Jesse Asbury Lloyd and Marie Adams Lloyd. She loved working in her yard and took great pride in her plants and gardens. Agnes was an avid Gamecock fan and a member and a faithful church choir member of First Original Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington. Surviving are her sons, James E. (Rhett) Smith of Florence, Ronald A. Smith of Franklin, NC, and David Wayne Smith of Columbus, OH; her daughter, Kay (Dean) Campbell of Johnston, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Sammie Smith, and her great-grandchild, Ryan McDaniel; and her sister-in-law, Betty Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Smith; her brothers, Henry Lloyd, Joe Lloyd, Carlisle Lloyd, and Harold Lloyd; and her sisters, Annie Andrews, Edelle Taylor, and Helen Brock. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, August 17th at Belk Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Original Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 441 Darlington, SC 29540.
