Julia Weaver Obituary
Julia "Judy" Nelson Weaver, of the Lake Swamp Community, died Tuesday Night, November 7, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 on Friday, November 10th at Lake Swamp Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Lake Swamp Baptist Church following the graveside service.
Born in Darlington on September 12, 1938, she is the daughter of the late George and Margaret Tarte Nelson. Judy was a devoted housewife who enjoyed knitting and crocheting, then giving her work away to friends. Mrs. Weaver was faithful in reading her Bible, and a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Chandler "Chan" Weaver, a daughter, Vicki (Jim) Avin all of the Lake Swamp Community; and a half-sister, Martha Broome.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Diane Atkins, Rocky Nelson and Janice Nelson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lake Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund, 6558 Oates Highway, Timmonsville, SC 29161.
