DARLINGTON- Claude Bill DuBose ,age 79, died at his home, Tuesday, August 2, 2005.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church with interment following in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Mr. DuBose was born in Lamar, son of the late Claude and Essie Odom DuBose. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II and fought in the Invasion of Normandy. Mr. DuBose was a retired jeweler having operated a jewelry store
on the square of Darlington for more than 50 years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Harper Bible Class.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Tammy DuBose of Darlington; daughter-in-law, Peggy DuBose of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Chris ( Jennifer) DuBose, Lindsay DuBose, Elizabeth DuBose, and Coby DuBose; sister, Pansy Beck of Hartsville; sister-in-law,  Ada Blackmon of Glens Fall, NY and special niece, Ada McCormick of Florence.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29501 or Central Baptist Church, 512 Spring Street, Darlington, SC 29532
