Annie L. Andrews Clements, age 98,  died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at McLeod Hospice House.   Graveside services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 1, in Newman Swamp Cemetery, Lamar SC.


Ms. Clements was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late John Henry and Callie A Brigman Andrews.  She was the widow of Wallace L Clements.  Ms. Clements was known for her cooking and especially her glorified brownies.  She enjoyed her yards and sharing flowers with others.  She loved children and elderly people, her family, and the residence and staff at Oakhaven Nursing Home.  Ms. Clements was a faithful member of Lamar First Baptist Church until her illness. 


Surviving are her two daughters, Leora (Bubba) Stokes of Darlington and Ann Clements of Columbia; a son J. L (Geraldine) Clements of Lamar; five grandchildren, Cindy (Ronnie) Hanniford of Darlington, Joey (LyLinda) Clements and Greg Clements of Houston, TX, John (Sheryl) Clements of Rockville, MD, and Amanda Clements of Alston, TX; two great grandchildren, Dange Hanniford of Darlington and Graycen Ann Clements of Houston, TX.


Ms. Clements was preceded in death by two sons, David A Clements, Douglas Farrell Clements and a daughter-in-law, Linda Clements.


The family will receive friends 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 31, at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar.

J.L. and Geraldine, I am so sorry about Ms. Clements. It is just not the same at Oakhaven without her there holding out her hands and saying "come her honey". She will truely be missed. May God Bless you and your family.
