La'Rae Jordan Britt
11/26/1951 - 5/7/2010




Linda La’Rae Jordan Britt, age 58, died Friday evening,May 7, 2010 in a Florence hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 at Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.

 



Linda La’Rae Jordan Britt, age 58, died Friday evening,May 7, 2010 in a Florence hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 at Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.

La’Rae was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late William Foster and Addie Odom Jordan. She was a 1970 graduate of St. John’s High School and 1972 graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College. She was employed by Sonoco Products Company as a sales rep for Nestle Products. She was a member of Indian Branch United Methodist Church.


 


La’Rae loved her family and especially her grandchildren and son. She enjoyed life, the beach, shagging, and spending time with her sisters and brothers.


 


Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Jessica Britt of Darlington; grandchildren, Ian and Eli Britt; two sisters, Geraldine (James) Moody and Doris (Robert) Goodson; four brothers, Basil (Peggy) Jordan, Willard (Margie) Jordan, Larry (Marie) Jordan, and Wayne (Jeanette) Jordan; half-sister, Nannie Lee (Brezzie) Briesemeister; a special niece, Sandra Moody and several other nieces and nephews.


 


The family will receive friends 3 - 8 p.m. Monday, May 10 at the home of Robert and Doris Goodson, 655 N. Springville Road, Darlington.


 


Memorials are suggested to Indian Branch United Methodist Church, P.O Box 224, Darlington, SC 29540.

larae was a beautiful person inside and out/she loved shagging and that good ole beach music that a lot of us from our generation loved so dearly/i saw her at the all class beach reunion only a month ago and we all had a great time and that is how i will remember her/rest in peace my friend.
