 Zena McKenzie Josey, 89, widow of Alford Terry Josey, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 11:00 am Thursday, May 6 with burial following in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Born November 8, 1920 in the Ashland Community of Lee County, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Lottie Woodham McKenzie. She was a homemaker and had lived in Darlington for over 60 years. Her favorite past time over the years was keeping her yard immaculate. She was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Josey was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.


 


Surviving is her son, Terry M. "Mac" (Vickie) Josey of Darlington and her grandson, Stephen Josey of Darlington. Also surviving is a good friend, Mike Locklair.


 


She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris M. Banta.


 


The family would like to thank her caregivers: Bernetha English, Chericha English, Bessie Muldrow and Tesha Muldrow for their love and care over the past years.


 


Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.


 


Memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, c/o Chip Clanton, 242 Woodham Rd, Bishopville, SC, 29010.
