DARLINGTON- Faye Byrd Windham, age 70, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26th at 2:00 Pm in Calvary Baptist Church, with burial following in Windhamtown Cemetery in Lamar, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born June 24, 1939 in Darlington County, she is the daughter of Nettie Moody Arrants and the late Cecil Byrd. Faye worked for James Rivers for 33 years and was an avid USC Gamecock fan and enjoyed being on Facebook. Mrs. Windham will be remembered as a woman who loved her family and always put them first. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother and step-father, Donnie Arrants, are her husband, Tommy Perkins, a daughter, Brenda (Michael) Lee, a sister, Barbara (Dale) Windham, all of Darlington, a daughter-in-law, Terie Windham, grandchildren: Tamika (Buddy) Hill of Darlington, Ragan (Chris) Weathers of Enid, OK, , Stephanie (Rock) Parnell, Neil "Trey" Windham, III all of Lamar, Abbey (Allen) Baker of Hartsville; great-grandchildren: Coral, Bayden, Mylin Hill, Angela Weathers, Wyatt and Kylar Parnell, Kinsley and Carson Baker, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Neil Windham, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening, February 25, at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington.
