- Rupert W. Isgett, age 71, died Friday, January 29, 2010 in a Florence hospital.


Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lydia, directed by Belk Funeral Home.


Mr. Isgett was born in Florence County, son of the late Adolph and Minnie Harrell Isgett. He served his country with the United States National Guard and was an electrician with Merita


and Ramada Inn. He was a Shriner, Mason and served with the Pee Dee Trust Fund. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.


Surviving are his wife, Linda Amerson Isgett of Lamar; two daughters, Bridget (Chad) Johnson and Michelle (James) Lester both of Hartsville; a son, Robert W. Powell of North Carolina; four grandchildren: Nicole Lester, Jaime Lester, Josh Powell and Christi Powell; two brothers, Richard (Bobbie) Isgett of Coward and Daniel (Gail) Isgett of Florence and two sisters, Jackie (Sonny) Blackmon of Hartsville and Polly Kirven of Florence and his canine companion, Harley and granddog, Rosco.


The family will be at the home of Curtis Amerson, 200 Christmas Tree Road, Lamar, SC and received friends and family Sunday, January 31, 3-5 p.m.
