Velma M. Graham, age 80, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, January 30th in Mechanicsville Baptist Church, with graveside held at 2pm in Florence National Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born December 3, 1936, Velma is the daughter of the late Van and Bertha Jordan Cooper. She loved to cook and was famous for her homemade biscuits. She was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbie Smith (Judy Dickard), and Mary Ann Teal; her grandchildren, Tammy (Frank) DuRant, Denise Port (Darrell Scott), Freddy (Rebbecca) Teal, Wesley (Ashley) Teal; her great-grandchildren, Rabin (Damon) Moody, Regan Mott (Jermichael Wright), Reid DuRant, Jr Port (Jenny Register), four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Willie Joe Cooper of Gresham, South Carolina, and all of the Graham family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover H. Graham; and her daughter, Rachel Carroll.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday, January 29th at Belk Funeral Home.
