Aileen Odom Obituary
Aileen Dennis Odom, age 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, July 26th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Odom Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born February 5, 1926, Aileen was the daughter of the late William Henry Dennis and Mary Odom Dennis. She retired from Dixie Cup after 30 years. She was a lifetime member of Indian Branch United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, loved her Sunday school class, and was a member of the Ladies Aide Society. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending her Sunday afternoons with them.
She is survived by her four loving children, Judy (Franklin) Stewart of Darlington, Evelyn Winstead of Florence, Johnny (Wanda) Odom of Darlington, and Allen "Bobo" Odom of Florence; her grandchildren, Todd (Tonya) Stewart, Karissa (Joey) Lucas, Robbie Winstead, Brandie (Chad) Cobb, and Karen (Billy) McBride; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Kylie, and Trinity Stewart, Lauren and Stuart Lucas, Katelyn Cobb, Wells and Collins McBride; and she is survived by her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Johnny Odom; her brother, Harvey Dennis; her son-in-law, Bobby Winstead, and her daughter-in-law, Cherie Odom.
